Ethan Johnsons wins second race of LMCS Season!
Ethan Johnson wins his second race of the season in the County Road Custom Millwork Late Model Challenger taking the victory in the BrettSuggs33 South Boston 125!
Ryan Joyner topped the qualifying results with 44 drivers on hand to make the 24 car feature event. Joyner earned a $5 bonus for the Christian iRacers Fast Time award and 5 bonus points in the season championship.
Jordan Harnish would start on the pole following the six invert and would lead the first 43 laps of the event with Johnson stalking him throughout the opening laps of the event.
Johnson would work his way around Johnson on Lap-43 and then never relinquish the lead. The action behind Johnson would slow the race for 12 total cautions as drivers pushed and shoved their way around the .4 mile short track.
Johnson was chased to the line by Ean Martin who methodically raced his way from his 11th starting spot to finish second. Harnish would finish third followed by Carter Langley from 21st and Will Drevicky.
Tom Scully III finished 6th followed by Aaron Johnson, James Seeright, Peter Fisher, and Luke Baldwin rounding out the top-10 finishers.
Langley would earn the night’s hard charger award gaining 17 positions.
B-main victories went to Del Mears and Blaidyn Edwards.
