LP Lauzier survives wild Gail Tomer Memorial 100 for first win!
It was a rough night in the County Road Custom Millwork Late Model Challenger Series in the Gail Tomer Memorial 100 presented by Jeff Bye Jr Art at USA International. The pink cars were out and the aggressiveness was turned up to 11, as the drivers of the Challenger Series were all looking to get noticed in their shiny, new pink machines!
In the end, LP Lauzier would grab his first ITZR win, as he’d lead 86 of the 104 laps on his way to victory! Lauzier had come from the 3rd position after making the pass on early leader and pole-sitter Chad Miller to grab the top spot.
Lauzier would see challenges from Luke Baldwin, Ethan Johnson, and Aj Rogers throughout the race, but would fend off all challengers and survive a green/white/checkered finish to win!
Following Lauzier to the line was Ean Martin in 2nd, Kade Brown in 3rd, Baldwin in 4th, and Carter Langley in 5th.
Tom Scully III, Kade Greene, Jeff Rivard, Peter Fisher, and Jordan Harnish would round out the top 10.
The Christian Iracers quick time award went to Ethan Johnson on the evening with a quick time of 20.454!
Shawn Hayes was the winner of the B Feature event.
Next week the series heads to South Boston for 125 laps, brought to you by Brett Suggs Twitch channel @ https://www.twitch.tv/brettsuggs33!
It was a tough night, but we look forward to a better night next week at South Boston!
